2016年8月15日上午10點(diǎn),英國薩麗大學(xué)(University of Surrey)Charley Wu 教授應(yīng)邀在beat365227會議室為我院師生作了題為“Computational Formulation Engineering: A Mechanistic Approach for Manufacturing Formulated Particulate Systems”的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告,本次報(bào)告會由beat365院長褚良銀教授主持。
報(bào)告會上,Charley Wu 教授首先介紹了薩麗大學(xué),簡述其的教學(xué)情況,發(fā)展?fàn)顩r和地理位置等。隨后,Charley Wu 教授由實(shí)際生活中的例子引出模擬顆粒運(yùn)動在生產(chǎn)過程中的重要作用,并著重介紹了如何采用離散元法-計(jì)算流體力學(xué)的分析方法進(jìn)行粉體填料和壓片等過程的模擬。最后,Charley Wu 教授還介紹了有限元法,以及離散元-有限元結(jié)合分析方法在流程模擬中的應(yīng)用。
在提問環(huán)節(jié),Charley Wu 教授和現(xiàn)場師生對就如何設(shè)計(jì)和選擇合適的模擬方法進(jìn)行流程模擬展開了熱烈探討,大家受益匪淺,以熱烈的掌聲感謝Charley Wu 教授帶來的精彩報(bào)告。
附Charley Wu 教授簡介:
Prof. Chuan-Yu (Charley) Wu is a professor in Chemical Engineering at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering and a member of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences (APS). He is currently coordinating a EU FP7 Initial Training Network (ITN) consortium (€3.8M) on the development of in silico models for roll compaction, which consists of 10 full partners and 4 associate partners from 8 EU countries. He has expertise in discrete element analysis, multiscale modelling and simulations, pharmaceutical engineering, particle technology and granular dynamics. Prof. Wu has been working closely with global pharmaceutical companies over the last 10 years and has run industrial collaborative research projects with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, MSD and Sanofi in developing advanced numerical modelling techniques for pharmaceutical application and established a strong link with the global pharmaceutical industry.
